Hey Maptimers, we need to change this one up a bit. With a long break and lots of sick family and runny noses, I’m not ready to pick back up the streetcar project yet. We will still be at Function in Lauraville, but we are re-purposing this event as a general meetup to work on personal projects or just do some OSM mapping. We do need to finish our Playground OSM Task, so that would be a good thing to work on. https://tasks.openstreetmap.us/project/160
Bring some cash or Venmo app for food. I’ll try to get something other than pizza this time!
Sorry for the last minute change. Thayer and I are both excited to get back to the streetcar project, life just get’s busy some times!
Location: Function Coworking Community space 4709 Harford Rd Baltimore, MD 21214
It is half a block north of Moravia Ave on the east (right) side of the street, and the 2nd building south of Rosekemp Ave. Open Street Map still has the building as its previous tenant, the American Beauty Academy. It has been completely remodeled and is a very nice space.
Parking: There is ample free street parking at that time of day, the PayToPark meter period ends at 6pm. The closest bus routes are the 54 (Harford) and 28 (Harford at Moravia). Note that the 54 bus approximates the route of the old #19 streetcar.

Wow! We had a great year and a ton of great events. But what is in store for MaptimeBmore in 2020? Come help us figure that out! Instead of a map / hack, this event will be more administrative to focus on planning events for 2020 and beyond, and to talk budgets and sponsorships.
All are still welcome. The MaptimeBmore organizers aren’t leaving, but we want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to be involved and to get mappy in Bmore.
First round of drinks for any Maptimer is on Jonathan!
Or, if you just want to come and talk about maps, OSM, your favorite spatial database, and tech, that is okay too! 😁🌎

Playgrounds and rec-centers are important for kids, parents, and communities. Advocates for Children and Youth (https://www.acy.org/) wants to make sure that all children in Baltimore and Maryland have equitable access to playgrounds in their neighborhood. MaptimeBmore is partnering with ACY for an OSM mapathon this month to map missing playgrounds and rec-centers in Baltimore. With OSM, we hope to identify “play-deserts” - communities that are lacking in safe, walkable access to playgrounds and rec-centers.
Join us at ACY’s headquarters in downtown Baltimore for a fun mapathon to help us add missing playgrounds to the Map!
ACY’s office is at One N. Charles Street Suite 2400, Baltimore, MD 21201.
Food will be provided.
Please bring your laptop if you have one, if not feel free to team up with another member.
